type clips that were a characteristic of this model.

HORNLESS MACHINES
Columbia Hornless Gramophone

Columbia Hornless Gramophone. Columbia and HMV were
the best known and highest quality of the mass produced machines. This model
features the Columbia No.7 Mica Diaphragm soundbox with the Columbia patent
turnover feature. This machine has been re-motored in the past and has been
corrected by having a Columbia (Garrard) No.5 motor refitted. The holes, from
the wrong motor in the past, have been plugged and coloured to match the rest.
Overall a nice machine.
Price: £99.00
HMV Hornless No.3 Mahogany
Gramophone

HMV Hornless No.3 in a mahogany case. The classic
HMV bridging the gap between the horn gramophone and the table grand model.
These gramophones were called hornless because the open horn was substituted
with a horn folded down and into the case hiding it from view. This made for a
much more compact machine. Examples of this model were taken into the trenches
by the British soldiers in WW1 (no mean feat, these are heavy items and the
records are not light either). The machine is fitted with the renowned
Exhibition soundbox. An excellent machine from the premier manufacturer of the
day.
Price: £120.00
REGAL HORNLESS £ 89

self opening louvers to the front of the case. Fitted with the Columbia No.8
mica diaphragm soundbox. A nice machine priced at £120.

TABLE GRANDS
Columbia Table Grand Mahogany No.20A
Gramophone

Columbia Table model gramophone No.20A in a
mahogany case. A good example of a very handsome table gramophone, the only
downside is a split in the lid that needs rectifying. Fitted with a double
spring Columbia (Garrard) motor, wide bore tonearm and Columbia No.7 Soundbox. A
good decorative machine and good to use.
Price: £150.00
Gramola Table Grand Gramophone

Gramola Table Grand Gramophone. The Gramola was
HMV's budget range of machines. Nonetheless the quality of the machine both
constructionally and mechanically is a cut above the average. The case is made
from solid oak and the machine is fitted with a standard HMV single spring
motor. It has a gooseneck tonearm and the renowned Exhibition Soundbox badge
engineered for Gramola. This is a nice machine to own.
Price: £130.00
HMV OAK TABLE GRAND with EXHIBITION SOUND
BOX £189
HMV Table Model No.110 Oak
Gramophone

Product Information
HMV table model No.110 in oak case. This machine is
dated from about 1921-24. A less common machine equipped with the HMV No.2
Soundbox, which is not frequently seen. Historically this is a bridge between
the machines that supplanted the hornless machines and the final generations of
table grand machines starting with the 103 and 109 and finishing with the
machines fitted with exponentially designed horns.
Price: £175.00
Beautiful & Unusual Table Grand
Gramophone

Interesting and unusual anonymous table grand
gramophone. This machine features a wooden tonearm and conical wooden internal
horn. It is fitted with a Vitaphonic soundbox which looks to be original. Quite
a bulky machine but would make an interesting addition to a
collection.
Price: £120.00
PATHE PATHEPHONE TABLE GRAND £170
Selecta Table Grand Gramophone

An early 'table grand' model by Selecta. Quite a
well known minor maker whose gramophones are often seen. This is an early table
model c.1914 - 20. These models were hornless models fitted with a lid enclosing
the turntable and tone arm. In addition doors usually enclosed the horn opening
and served as a rudimentary volume control. Dulcetto mica diaphragm soundbox
contemporary with the machine.
Price: £79.00
Elegant Oak Table Grand Gramophone

Anonymous oak cased early type table grand model
c.1914-20. In essence a hornless machine fitted with a lid and doors to the horn
opening. A nicely constructed well made machine with inset panels to the side.
Fitted with a contemporaneous mica diaphragm soundbox.
Price: £89.00
