NEWS - SEPTEMBER 2012

GREETINGS  TO ALL MY CUSTOMERS AND VISITORS.

Firstly let me apologize for any errors and out of stock situations on my website. I am delighted to say that business is quite brisk at the moment and time is limited to keep everything up to date.

Let's hope 2012 the summer sun of September will encourage us to go out and take photographs. If you need a new or indeed classic camera please look through my lists, drop an email to robert@camcentre.co.uk or ring on 01323 840559. The shop is open from 9.00 to 5.00 Monday to Saturday.

My colleague Jim is charge of all my EBay and mail order sales so if you have any questions or problems there please contact him. Last year Liz Scott, who had been with me in the shop for many years retired. She now hopes to devote much more time to her love of photography.

My used film single lens reflexes are still in great demand for college courses and of course for photographers who still enjoy darkroom work. I have a good stock of these, both for manual and autofocus use.

Digital cameras of course are very much more popular than film however for those who like to keep traditional crafts alive I try to stock a good selection of both.

The main compact camera range I stock is Fuji. . This company offers superb cameras and an excellent back-up service, I regularly see their representative so problems rarely occur.

Pebtax, Sony and Panasonic cameras I like to stock when I can get them at a competitive price.

Whilst I cannot be the cheapest supplier on the internet, I will try to be the best.

I have a Kodak Kiosk here for digital prints so can print up to 12 x 8 inches on the premesis. You can always email files to me or send a CD and I will post the pictures back to you.

Just a reminder that I can transfer your personal VHS tapes to DVD-R, as well as Digital 8, Video 8mm and Mini DV to DVD-R. These are usually done 'in house'. If you need DVD+R, they have to go away to our lab.
The Professional lab I use can also transfer original film to tape or DVD for you.

My engineer can repair most film cameras and lenses, subject to spares being available, digital cameras are rarely worthwhile due to the high cost of parts, but I can gladly get an estimate..

I have a selection of collectable cameras and other items of 'Photographica' and a list of Cine / Movie cameras and projectors. At last the cine list is pretty well up to date.

If you need a spare projector lamp, rubber drive belt or a classic camera please visit my Internet shop, I am constantly adding lines, so if you do not see what you need, please ask. In the shop you can look at photographs of some of my stock and if you wish, buy on-line.
Please note that the shop is in addition to our regular stock lists.

I am just about to update the Gramophone, at the moment, the list must really be regarded as a guide unfortunately as I just have not had a chance to sort this out. If you are interested in buying, selling or repair please ring. Eric is my gramophone specialist.

Computers can be built to your special requirements, please contact James Girling at this email address for details. Please see our new stock pages for more details.Hailsham Photographic Society has a new website, please have a look.

If you wish to order anything, please check that it is still available. I do have a 'secure server', (you will see a little padlock in the corner of the page containing my order form so you can order) and can pay safely on-line and your card details will be scrambled so that only I can understand them, just click on or cut and paste this link for the form: http://www.camcentre.co.uk/osc/secure/.

If there is anything you are not certain about, do email. robert@camcentre.co.uk.
My prices for new items may not be the cheapest but I do try my hardest to offer the best service around.
Thank you again for looking
